چکیده

We analyzed the factors affecting gas carburizing microstructure of parts for constant velocity joints. Gas 0.15-0.20C1.13-1.14Cr chromium alloy steel used in automobile drive units is characterized by changing properties layer depth direction.
The experimental conditions were set to enable field application. components specimen be carburization X-ray fluorescence. Changes mechanical carburized micro-hardness, microstructure, and content. cycle was selected based on simulation results. characteristics change before after two samples with different carbon content analyzed.
temperature that can manufacturing 930°C, potential required 0.90wt%, diffusion 0.75wt%. inner outer hardness values satisfying effective hardening 550Hv 400Hv-740Hv. In case 0.20C steel, a amount 0.36wt% 1.467 mm. also 0.15C its 0.746 results selecting heat treatment showed similar trend. structure related martensite. As result EPMA, SEM, XRD analysis, martensite correlated, increased as increasing. EPMA smaller greater carburization.
intend proceed optimization mass production connection wear resistance fatigue. It expected these will contribute improvement durability driving parts.

Microstructural Characterization of Carburized Steels

*Member of ASM International arburizing has been a popular method for obtaining a unique balance of properties in steels for many years. Steels with low carbon contents are characterized by good toughness and good ductility, but low strength and low wear resistance. By locally increasing the carbon content at the surface, followed by heat treatment to produce a very high hardness in this layer ...

Comparison of Hardness and Wear Behaviour of Boronized and Carburized AISI 8620 Steels

In this study, the hardness and wear behaviour of carburized and boronized AISI 8620 steels have been studied. The boronizing treatment increased the hardness of AISI 8620 steels from 395 HV0.1 to a maximal 1610 HV0.1 compared to the carburized steels and also significantly improved its wear behaviour. From obtained results, it can be concluded that boronizing is very effective surface hardenin...

Hardness and Composition of Solution-Treated Ag-Pd-Cu-Au Alloy Microstructures

An Ag-Pd-Cu-Au casting alloy was subjected to solution treatment at various temperatures. The dynamic hardness of each resultant microstructure and the Vickers hardness of the whole alloy were measured to investigate their relationship with changes in metal and crystal structure of the alloy and microstructural elemental concentration. The samples following solution treatment at 650, 700, 750, ...

Rolling Contact Fatigue Performances of Carburized and High-C Nanostructured Bainitic Steels

In the present work, the nanostructured bainitic microstructures were obtained at the surfaces of a carburized steel and a high-C steel. The rolling contact fatigue (RCF) performances of the two alloy steels with the same volume fraction of undissolved carbide were studied under lubrication. Results show that the RCF life of the carburized nanostructured bainitic steel is superior to that of th...

Factors affecting seat contour characteristics.

This project focused on identifying the influence of subject characteristics and foam properties on seat contours in order to explain the load transfer between the buttocks and cushion. Seat contours were recorded for 17 people (11 spinal cord injured and six able-bodied individuals). Contour characteristics were represented by maximum contour depth, surface area, and displaced volume. Subject ...
